We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SDMC-Sutter Delta Medical Center **Position Overview:** The Cook prepares food for patients, staff, visitors and catering functions. Coordinates own food production with others so foods are ready and served at specified times. May relieve in other food production areas, such as cold production, bakery, on trayline, or cafeteria if needed. **Job Description** : **EXPERIENCE** + The Cook must have previous quantity food production experience. _Required_ + Experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility cooking is desirable. _Preferred_ **EDUCATION** + Additional Requirements/Area of Study: Trade school program in cooking. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** + This position must have knowledge of weights, measures and conversions to calculate amounts and follow recipes. + Knowledge of modified diets is helpful. + Use of food service equipment such as grill, oven, mixer, grinder, chopper, knives and others. **Job Shift:** Days **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Variable **Weekend Requirements:** Every other Weekend **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** Yes **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans. Pay Range is $28.25 to $35.49 / hour _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
