Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties:

• Assist in food preparation under the guidance of the management
• Responsible for operations in creating and preparing tasting room menu items for sale to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
• Handle and store food items appropriately
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  Requirements:
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is required
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, including knives
• Understanding of food safety practices and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Participate in inventory management and supply ordering
• Help manage reservations and special events to optimize guest flow
• Lead by example with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
• Be of good health and physical condition
• Ability to lift and carry items properly
• Foster a positive and professional work environment
• Willingness to learn and grow as Bernhardt Winery grows
• TABC and Texas Food Handler’s Certification required within 30 days of start.
