Description
As a Financial Analyst, you will help provide variety of consulting services including financial analysis and valuation assessments for companies involving intellectual property such as patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. You will also support in providing financial analysis relating to damages assessments and evaluations for corporate disputes and litigation such as business valuation and breach of contract matters.
Essential Functions
Assist with gathering, organizing, analyzing, and understanding documents produced as a part of litigation.
Review and interpret financial statements and other financial documents.
Review and interpret industry data and statistics relevant to various markets and market segments
Create and develop financial spreadsheets and economic models pertaining to case analyses.
Research various topics, including industries, companies, products, and case law.
Develop, refine, and communicate project results.
Prepare technical writing materials summarizing analyses.
Understand client requirements and objectives and implement into a deliverable work product.
Participate in team meetings.

Requirements
Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance or economics.
Masters degree or other designations/certifications a plus.
A minimum one to three years of strong experience in economics, finance, or valuation (preferably in litigation support, financial analysis, or damages analysis).
Strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel) and related PC software.
Research experience (Bloomberg, LexisNexis, IDC, Gartner, etc.) a plus.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Ability to travel when required.
Client service experience preferred, national CPA firm, Litigation Consulting firm or Valuation firm experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
The ability to operate phones and computers

Hours of Work
~ Fulltime: Defined as 5 days a week for 40 hours per week. Actual working hours will be discussed with the hiring manager.
